I am a 20 year old nursing student from Greenville, SC. I fell in love with medicine and all that comes with it 5 years ago as a high school freshmen in the hospital with rare, unknown tumors in my abdomen and in severe kidney failure. The kindness I felt from my nurses pushed me towards pursuing a career in nursing and the Lord has made it evident that I will serve him by healing and helping his children.
One year ago I was diagnosed with a neurological disease called Dysautonomia. Recently we have discovered that my specific subtype is Hyperandrenergic Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. Mouthful, right?? While this disease has put a damper on some aspects of my life, I have grown to be thankful for it in so many ways.
There are many things that I am passionate about but the ones that stick out are animals, children, orphans, missions, Clemson football and all things pink and girly.
